Showjumping Elite at IFEMA Madrid Horse Week.

We are already aware of a few of the participants that have confirmed their attendance on the 29th, 30th and 1st of December at the IFEMA Madrid Horse Week; and amongst those names are the best showjumpers in the world.

Competing in the show jumping discipline, there are already some confirmed important names such as Scott Brash, who has just vanquished the Grand Prix of the Verona World Cup last weekend.

In addition, show jumpers such as Steve Guerdat, who is currently number 1 in the Longines FEI Ranking, and the first provisional winner classified in the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup; the Irishman, Darragh Kenny, who came second in the Verona World Cup and along with his team, won the final of the Nation´s Cup.

Also to be expected is the Swiss man who is just 27 years old, Martin Fuchs, the current European Champion and winner of the Grand Prix World Cup in Lyon. Other excellent riders such as Daniel Deusser who is third in the Longines FEI ranking and champion of the Grand Prix World Cup of Madrid last year, and not to mention the great, Marcus Ehning, three-time champion of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Final, will also be there.

An epic show is guaranteed to take place in the main arena with such fantastic and elite show jumpers who will fight to win this leg of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup, the IFEMA Trophy on Sunday, the 1st of December at 1 pm, local time.

In dressage as well, we will be able to watch first class riders such as the Dutch Hanz Peter Minderhoud and the English man Richard Davison, who will be using some of their best horses to compete in the fourth leg of the World Cup of the season.

For the third consecutive year, IMHW will celebrate a new edition of the Final of the Maestros of La Vaquera where Jónathan Peña will be there, he was the winner of the two previous editions. This circuit was held in 11 different locations in Spain, starting in April in Serva, Sevilla and will finally take place for the III Edición in the show arena of the Salón del Caballo situated in Hall 14.

In short, this year IMHW which will have an awe inspiring show, that will leave spectators breathless who will be able to enjoy a show of the best riders in their favourite equestrian discipline.

The IFEMA Madrid Horse Week is the biggest equestrian event in the Spanish Capital however it does not only consist of competitions. The guests attending from the 29th of November until the 1st of December who visit Halls 12 and 14 of IFEMA can enjoy other shows such as the French female horse trainer, Clémence Faivre who “whispers in the horse´s ears” and can make her horses perform pirouettes and all kinds of movements without any help and in complete liberty.


You can also get a taste of the adrenaline from the Horseman team and their obstacle jumps up to 1.60 m in height, without a horse. And what will be an interesting and inspirational show will be the performances of Alfonsina Maldonado and Natalia Quintana, two para equestrians who will demonstrate that anything is possible if you fight for what you want.
