ELITE SPORT RETURNS TO BOLESWORTH AND YOU’RE INVITED
A summer long series of elite sport is scheduled at Bolesworth for 2021, and you’re invited. Synonymous with world-class showjumping and outstanding equestrian facilities, Nina Barbour and the team are bringing sport back to Bolesworth with an extensive calendar of show dates including the Bolesworth International Horse Show, now confirmed to run on 7th-11th July.
In addition to the new dates, Bolesworth are delighted to welcome title sponsors Dodson &Horrell. Leading innovators in animal nutrition, Dodson &Horrell bring a shared passion for equestrianism whilst also striving for excellence within the sport, supporting a number of top riders including Geoff Billington, Jess Dimmock, Joe Davidson and many of the Whitaker family. Set against the iconic backdrop of Bolesworth Castle, the prestigious International Arena will host headline classes climaxing with the CSI*** Grand Prix on Sunday 11th July. The busy schedule, all set to run under FEI rules will include CSI3, CSI1, CSIAm, CSIP and CSIYH classes, with the aim to provide a platform for a huge range of competitors and horses to compete. Riders competing at Bolesworth can expect impressive courses, professional over-night facilities and welcoming hospitality to unwind after a successful day. Bolesworth extends an invitation to all Irish riders for this year’s Dodson &Horrell Bolesworth International Horse Show and are excited to introduce a familiar face to the team in Debbie O’Connor, who will be working alongside Bolesworth’s secretarial team as the liaison and port of call for all Irish riders. Debbie holds a wealth of experience within elite equestrian sport and canoffer assistance with all queries and concerns around Travel, Accommodation and bookings for Sport and Hospitality. The season will commence at Bolesworth with three affiliated training shows, on the 7th & 21st April, and the 5th May, allowing riders to familiarise their horses with the surroundings and give them a long awaited, confident outing. In addition, the brand new Bolesworth National Horse Show will take place from 20th– 23rd May, presenting three days of competition with classes up to 1.40m, also incorporating Young Horse classes.
The Bolesworth experience is highlighted for many by the renowned Elite Auction. On Friday, 9th July, a special collection of Elite Yearlings will be auctioned live at the Dodson &Horrell Bolesworth International Horse Show – all lots will have close links to 1.60m performers on the dam side with a line-up that promises to include some of the most famous equine names in showjumping.
An unmissable event in the equestrian calendar, the show also offers riders the opportunity to explore our quality retailers, and enjoy daytime or evening hospitality, which will include a serious line up of evening entertainment, in line with Government guidelines. There will also be additional family focused entertainment over the weekend for general admission ticket holders.
