Well I don’t know about you, but that year seemed to shoot by awfully fast! Here we are in December with Christmas just a hop skip and a jump away and Olympic Year just around the corner. Exciting Times for Irish Equestrians, with three Equestrian Teams competing in Tokyo next year, I’d say Christmas definitely did come early for the Irish this year;-)
This Issue we have loads of great content for you. In our Health Section we have a Super Worming Guide by BHSI Jessica Soley. Staying with Horse Health I discuss the signs, symptoms and treatment options for a horse suffering from Sacroiliac Joint Pain.
As Breeding season is on the way we caught up with Louise Doheny from Slieve Bloom Stud. We paid a visit to this wonderful, State of the Art, Dressage Horse Stud, nestled in the Beautiful Slieve Blooms in County Laois. This stud offers Spectacular Horses and Facilities. In 2020 they will be standing 9 Dressage Stallions with Top Pedigrees right in the centre of Ireland, giving Irish Breeders the chance to access these amazing bloodlines.
In our Training Section we explore Equine Assisted Therapy and what it involves. We reached out to Caitriona O’Meara, who not only helps horses with problems, but Caitriona is also involved with Equine Assisted Therapy; she shares with us some of the benefits it offers children and young adults.
Just because it’s Christmas we decided to have some Christmas Fun, so we Share our Santa Baby, Equestrian’s Christmas Wish List. We also share our Top 5 Gifts for Your Horse and for You and Your Horsey Buddies as we head into the Festive Period.
Lastly we have our results round up, documenting just how well our Irish Equestrians have been fairing around the globe over the past month.
