Well, we can hardly believe it here at Irish Sport Horse Magazine, we are 1 year in Business. Our first Issue came out on the 10th of November 2018 and my good Friend, Bernard O’Sullivan, Ireland’s Lone Reiner, Graced our first cover with the stunning stallion, This Guns for Nic, which Bernard competed at WEG 2018.
What a year it has been for Irish Equestrians following the incredible performance of the Irish Eventing Team at WEG 2018, the Irish Equestrians have gone from strength to strength. It has been a year for many firsts, some of the most important being; Ireland Qualifying a Dressage Team for the Olympics; and also for the First time in History Ireland will have 3 Equestrian Teams Competing at Tokyo 2020, Eventing, Dressage and Showjumping, what an exciting 2020 it is going to be!
This November Issue is a little different, as we decided to explore the Artistic Side of the Equestrian Industry! We reached out to three very different but successful Equestrian Artists, along with well known and respected Equestrian Photographer to find out a little bit more about the Inspiration behind their work, and how they got started in their businesses. We are delighted to be sharing the Stories of Equestrian Photographer Radka Preislerova from Radka Preisler Photography, Equestrian Artists, Tony O’Connor Equine Artist, Julie Duffy, from Equizart and Arabella Murr from the White Horse Art Studio. They have been kind enough to share their stories along with some of their amazing pieces, which we are sure will give you some super Ideas for Equestrian Christmas Presents!
Also this month in our Health Section we have a super piece from BHSI Jessica Soley, on Equine Developmental Orthopaedic Disease documenting the types of disorders that come under this label. This article discusses at what age this type of disease affects your young horses or foals, and what measures to take for prevention along with what actions to take in the event that a foal, yearling or young horse is diagnosed.
In our Training Section we have a lovely article by Phillippa Christie from Equine Partnership. She shares a Bitless Success Story, in which an Event Rider that she works with achieved Super Results with her horses in the in the Horse Sport Ireland Combined Training Finals in Wexford.
We also have a short piece about Irish Sport Horse Magazine, Our Year in Review, sharing some of the Amazing Advice that each of our Star Equestrians had to offer.
This Month our Star Interview is with one of our Young Irish Rising Stars, Cathal Daniels. We felt we simply had to catch up with super talented young man, following his Amazing Podium Finish taking Bronze for Ireland at the European Championships 2019, with that amazing Irish Sport Horse Mare Rioghan Rua,
Lastly we finish up with our Results Round Up, documenting just how well our Equestrian Stars have been fairing around the Globe over the past month. Have a Great November Everyone, wrap up warm and enjoy what is becoming the Gallop up to Christmas, we will be back with you again in December;-)
To your Equestrian Success,
